Starting from the principles ‘faster and more compact’ and on the basis of the existing Vrieco-Nauta mixers, Hosokawa Micron has developed a new variant of the batch mixer under the name Vitomix.
extremely compact design, the same volume is achieved with a considerably reduced structural height.
A second important distinction of the Vitomix is the double ribbon screw used in the design of this mixer. The use of a ribbon screws permits higher rotational speeds. In combination with the larger diameter of the screws, and therefore also a higher transport capacity which is up to eight times higher.
Two lump breakers (2 x 7.5 kW) can be incorporated into the sidewall of the Vitomix mixer. Thanks to this double feature, more fluid can be injected without lump formation than is the case with a single lump breaker at the top.
